Over 3 hours you’ll meet the locals who, via their food, will share their stories, passion and culture with you.
We’ll share some great local tips and history of the area, learning how Sydney Road came to be and how it’s transforming at an amazing pace.
Visits and tastings include Balha’s Pastry, a Middle-Eastern pastry shop that locals flock to. Think pistachios, syrup-drenched thin-layered pastries, clotted cream & much more.
Learn about the Maté drink & how it fits into South American culture. Taste artisanal local & European cheeses in a little laneway that tells part of this neighborhoods immigration history.
Visit the famous Mediterranean supermarket to taste ragù-filled arancino and get an insider’s knowledge on specialty Italian food items and unique ingredients.
Stop by at Choukette French bakery to enjoy a savoury delight and practice your French conversation skills. Visit Ratio Cocoa Roasters to see the process of cocoa beans becoming chocolate bars.

COST - $150pp – minimum 6 guests. We can take smaller groups however the minimum booking is $900.
LOCATION -This event is held in Sydney Road and runs for approximately 3 hours. This tour is on foot. We recommend guests wear comfortable shoes and dress according to the weather on the day.
