Multicultural Melbourne School Food Tour

Join this Melbourne school tour to discover the sights, sounds and tastes of this amazing multicultural city.

This walking, talking and tasting excursion kicks off with a walk through the Greek quarter of Lonsdale Street to taste sweet treats from a long running bakery.

We then walk into Chinatown where we visit the Tang Asian Food store to try some of their most popular savoury snacks.

This is followed by delicious Chinese egg tarts and coconut pudding from the famous Maxims Cakes.

The tour will then make its way to Emporium to visit the renowned Pho Nom canteen for a taste of Vietnamese food including rice paper rolls and chrysanthemum tea.

Next, explore the historic arcades of Melbourne and visit the Beechworth Honey Store for the sweetest tastings and an opportunity to learn about the importance of bees in our food systems. We also taste Indian Mukhwas at the Gewürzhaus Spice Store, and experience amazing chocolate at the Ganache Store.

We also visit the Brunetti Food Store to enjoy some of their authentic ricotta filled cannoli.

This provides for up to 14 students or teachers to attend. Extra students or teachers are $65pp.

Great fun, lovely people, and fantastic food. Don’t snack before you will have more than enough delicious food to eat. Wonderful experience and a “MUST DO” FOR ALL FOODIES!

What a fantastic day. Allan was so informative ,showed us lots of little places I never knew existed. The spice shop was great,as was the Indian food we got to sample. Highly recommend this tour.

I would highly recommend Melbourne Food Experiences – the tour was fun and informative, the food was delicious, and they catered for my dietary requirements.
