The majority of my adult life I have lived in a city which has developed into one of the most food obsessed places in Australia.
I’m talking about Melbourne. A city of 5 million people who obsess about what they cook, eat and drink. And of all the drinks, coffee is number one.
My coffee education really began with Mark Dundon in around 2005. He had just opened St Ali coffee and it became the first stop on our Saturday food tours. Mark generously showed us how he roasted beans, discussed sourcing ethical coffee and led us through amazing tastings. I have a lot to thank him for!
Mark now operates Seven Seeds Coffee, plus other speciality coffee venues across the city where I can grab a flat white through the day.
