Arbory Bar and Eatery, alongside the Yarra River in central Melbourne, has long been a favourite of mine. It’s a massive outdoor bar with a great welcome, great food, views and vibes. Arbory offers a unique opportunity to enjoy Melbourne’s great outdoors and hospitality scene at the same time.
Situated alongside Flinders street station, it’s set with umbrellas, awnings, large Plane trees and heaters to ensure patrons are comfortable. The views, well they are extensive and take in the Yarra River in its glory.
Here you’ll find taps pouring an ever changing selection of beers from breweries large and small. Wine by the glass, easy cocktails and food that ranges from crowd pleasing burgers to weekend roasts.
I’m very partial to the Arbory Bar first thing in the morning too. It’s hard to beat as a spot for coffee with such extensive water views in the heart of the city. I love nothing more that enjoying a beautifully made flat white coffee and taking in the sights of early morning rowers on the river.
In fact the Arbory Bar and Eatery is a popular stop on many of our Melbourne Tours with such a huge selection of food and drink.
Arbory is also renowned for its summer instillation, Arbory Afloat. This is a floating bar on the riverside which offers fun, food and drinks to all comers. Each year it has a different theme and for summer 2020 the theme will be Australian beach house. Arbory Bar and Eatery is an essential part of Melbourne’s renowned hospitality scene.
