Cooking with the seasons is relatively easy and simple, it means shopping for ingredients that are at the peak of flavour and quality. Make the most of these ingredients in your kitchen and cooking will become easier rather than harder. Easier because the flavours are so intense that you don’t have to do much to them.
This is a great time to be enjoying the last of the artichokes, and farm fresh asparagus, sweetcorn can be excellent at this time too. They are also abundant and affordable, so it’s easier on the budget.
Late spring will see the last of the really outstanding mangoes, so enjoy them for the next few weeks. Melons will also be a great choice at this time. As are pineapples which are sweet and juicy.
